Maintenance & Field Technician (Plumbing, Electrical, General Repairs)
Field-based — Texas & surrounding states, USA Full-time · Field-based Monday–Friday, 7:00am–4:00pm with optional paid overtime and occasional weekend call-outs
$35 – $65 / hr
About the role
Hands-on, skilled work across plumbing, electrical and general repairs on delivered homes and managed properties. Steady schedules, weekly pay and real craftsmanship.
What you'll do
- Complete 4–7 service calls per day across assigned properties
- Install and repair water lines, drains, water heaters and fixtures
- Carry out electrical repairs including outlets, fixtures and breaker work where licensed
- Perform general carpentry, drywall and door/window repairs
- Test systems after repair and confirm safe operation before leaving site
- Complete safety checks and isolate services correctly before work begins
- Order parts and coordinate return visits when materials are required
- Explain completed work clearly to the homeowner or tenant
- Travel to assigned properties and complete scheduled work orders safely and on time
- Diagnose faults on site and carry out repairs to a professional standard
- Document all work with written notes and before/after photographs
- Follow all health, safety and site-access procedures without exception
- Maintain tools, van stock and materials, reporting shortages promptly
- Coordinate daily with the office team on scheduling, parts and customer access
Required qualifications
- 3+ years hands-on maintenance experience
- Valid driver's licence
- Own basic hand tools
- Legally authorised to work in the country or region you are applying from
- Professional, dependable and comfortable working to clear standards
Nice to have
- Plumbing or electrical licence/certification
- Experience with modular or manufactured homes
- Experience working with international customers
- Previous experience in a fast-growing company
